Again it was time to take a visit to Tatul to view the updated ancient historic site see what changes the EU and local Bulgarian funding

This small shephards house is located near to Kirkovo southern Rhodopes Bulgaria.

A car is necessary if you wish to get around to see archaeological sites, the local shops, local sites

Main Kardzhali town is approx 40 minutes away by car

Kirkovo is approximately 15 minutes away

Entrance to the new Makaza road (due to open September) is approximately 10 minutes away

Zlatograd for the open border into North Greece is less than half an hours drive

There is very little light pollution and the Shephards House is situated within 200 deka of open farmland, with cows and sheep making frequent entrances!

Possibility to learn how to milk a cow, or see a calf born!

The location is not extremely remote, but for sure feels like it!

Superb views all around and gorgeous walks right from the doorstep too!
